HE3DA Ltd. is an innovator in applied research and commercialization of battery technologies. The company’s 3D technology and Li-battery production processes are based on three dimensional electrodes using lithium nano-materials (patented HE3DA® technology).

The president and co-founder of HE3DA Ltd., Dr. Jan Prochazka has spent years in nano-technology research in the USA. He discovered the possibility of using lithium nano-materials to create a whole new generation of high-power batteries with unique three-dimensional electrodes. This new 3D concept offers high storage capacity and offers many new benefits when compared to the currently used 2D thin film technology of lithium accumulators.
Dr. Prochazka continued his intensive research in the Czech Republic and created HE3DA Ltd.. He and his team have brought the technology into today's phase, close to utilization in the mass market.
Dr. Prochazka is the holder of a number of patents in this area. The technology of HE3DA is patent-protected globally.
Our priority goal is introduction of HE3DA technology to the market. Engineering work and contracting of suppliers for the first automated production are ongoing.
The production line will be located in the town of Havirov, in the Silesia region of the Czech Republic. Silesia is a traditional industrial region where a qualified labor force is readily available and the necessary infrastructure is in place. The HE3DA company has a top quality industrial compound at its disposal with 4.000 m2 of production area and potential for expansion to 40.000 m2.
Construction of the production line is planned to begin in autumn 2015, with start-up of production at the end of 2016. Capacity of the production line is already being allocated to customers.
HE3DA technology eliminates the ballast from batteries, and
optimizes the qualities of nano-materials and the morphology
of electrodes. It enables a much greater thickness of electrodes
and offers many new advantages and construction solutions.
This technology greatly improves on the safety of lithium-based
batteries and allows for a wide range of completely new technical
solutions resulting from the so far unachievable technical
and economic parameters found in HE3DA batteries.
HE3DA technology allows accumulator capacity parameters
and charge/discharge times to be set by adjusting the thickness
of electrodes. Other parameters of the accumulato such as cost,
robustness, operating temperature, weight etc can be adjusted by selection of production
